Creating Spaces where HBCU Students Can Innovate and Create

The Heart of HBCUs

HBCUs are more than just institutions of higher learning; they are cultural hubs, incubators of innovation and pillars of the community. Retool Your School recognizes this unique role and seeks to support HBCUs in creating spaces where these bonds can flourish.

We understand that the magic happens both inside and outside the classroom at HBCUs. What if the spaces meant for gathering, connecting and building community had room to grow? That’s the belief that fueled Jackson State University’s Retool Your School project. With a grant from The Home Depot, they set out to transform a student center into a space that would inspire learning and empower students to reach their full potential.

Fostering Connection, Powered by The Home Depot

A top-notch education deserves a top-notch environment to foster community and belonging. That’s the belief that fueled Heather’s Retool Your School project. The Home Depot is proud to support the legacy of HBCUs by providing them with the resources they need to thrive. We are proud to invest in the future of these vital institutions and the students they serve.
